Dr. Michael Blechman

Dr. Michael BlechmanDr. Michael B. Blechman received his BA in Biology at the State University of New York at Binghamton.  He attended medical school at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He received his gastroenterology training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, NYC. Dr. Blechman is board certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (originally in 1999 and recertified in 2009). He has been practicing gastroenterology in the private practice setting since 1999.

He is currently Vice President and practicing partner at Union Square Gastroenterology, P.C. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Blechman is a Clinical Instructor at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Bronx, NY. He is an Assistant Attending in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where he devotes time to the fellowship training program. Dr. Blechman is a founding partner at East Side Endoscopy, LLC. He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology and The Medical Society of the State of New York.

Dr. Blechman’s clinical areas of interest and expertise include: colonoscopy, endoscopy, acid reflux disorders as well as inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease.
