Dr. Moushumi Sanghavi

Dr. Moushumi Sanghavi received a bachelor of arts from Yale University.  She attended medical school at the New York University School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center.  She received her gastroenterology training at Montefiore Medical Center.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. 

Dr. Sanghavi treats all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disease, but her areas of interest are women’s health, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.  She performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.  She also performs nonsurgical treatment of internal hemorrhoids with infrared coagulation and endoscopic banding.  As the Associate Medical Director of East Side Endoscopy, she coordinates charitable care initiatives to increase colorectal cancer awareness and improve screening compliance.  She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
